You'll Never Guess Why Those Ole Miss Frat Bros Beat A Kid Half To Death...Ok I'll Tell You, It Was Over A Donkey Statue
NYDN - The five University of Mississippi frat bros charged with nearly beating another fraternity member to death were trying to steal a donkey statue before beginning the beatdown, officials said Friday.
Pi Kappa Alpha member James Declan Basile went with four pledges — Christian Guy, Kyle Hughes, Austin Rice and Tucker Cole Steil — to a frat house around 4 a.m. Oct. 6 to try to take a donkey effigy from inside, according to school officials.
Somewhere along the way to their donkey, they confronted Sigma Phi member Jeremy Boyle — and somehow ended up beating him “within an inch of his life,” Boyle’s grandfather told WMC.
Boyle suffered a concussion, a ruptured eardrum, a bruised lung and several broken teeth, the Daily Mississippian student newspaper reported.

Now that all the details are out about that savage Ole Miss frat beating last week I wanted to play a little bit of a guessing game for what the issue was, but didn’t want to get too Clickbaity with the headline. Be honest though, what # guess do you think it would have been until you got to “they were trying to steal a donkey statue”? Would have been a while right.
Anyway there are certain things worth beating a dude close to death for I guess. If somebody attacks you and it’s in self-defense, if somebody harms your family or your wife/girlfriend, if you’re in a combat situation and it’s kill-or-be-killed.
Stealing a metallic statue of a donkey from a rival fraternity on your college campus? Doesn’t make the list. Jackass move, no pun intended, no dad-joke intended.
